While the Apostle John had a theological meaning in mind when he penned
these words in The Gospel of John 1:1, it turns out they also convey a
fundamental truth about marketing: Start with the words, and build every
other element of your campaign on that foundation.
No matter what you may be selling or promoting, your message is the single
most important and powerful portion of your product or service
presentation. After all, if you are not clear about the message you are
